Employee and Student Petitions to Address the Board

Employees and students of the University of Tennessee may petition to present a matter in person to the Board of Trustees in accordance with the following process outlined in Article II, Section 9, of the Board of Trustees Bylaws:

• Make a written application to the Secretary, setting out the matter to be presented; and
• Submit the written application at least thirty (30) days before the date set for the Board meeting.

If these criteria are not met, a request to appear before the Board will not be granted except upon favorable majority vote of the Trustees present at the meeting.
