The purpose of the University Life Committee shall be to oversee and develop policies and make recommendations to the Board concerning the overall life of the University community and the University’s nonacademic programs (other than intercollegiate athletics).

Examples of matters that fall within the responsibilities of the committee include issues relating to: student health and wellness; campus safety; student organizations and other extracurricular activities; the use of Student Programs and Services Fee funds; student housing; student engagement; diversity; and career and other nonacademic advising and development. The committee also shall develop policies regarding those matters as the committee deems necessary and recommend policies to the Board, including policies developed and recommended by the Subcommittee on Nonacademic Programs.
